Grammer G-30 Mahogany Dreadnought Acoustic Vintage 1969
Here is a vintage 1969 Grammer G-30 dreadnought acoustic
These were all handmade in Nashville Tennessee from 1965 to 1971 and played by the top country stars of the day (Johnny Cash, Porter & Dolly, You name it).
The "G" series was their top end full size dreadnought body models, they also made small body and baby sized ones for smaller people.
The G-30 has spruce top, and mahogany back and sides, all solid construction. This one was special ordered with the 'wide neck' option, which makes the nut width a comfy 1 7/8"
This guitar carried a price tag of $320 back in 1969 which means, adjusted for inflation, this guitar cost about $3200 in todays money.
It it is overall amazing condition for its age. We had our luthier seal up a crack that had formed (but didnt break) at the headstock, we also had him do the frets up nice, and essentially this guitar plays great and is ready for the tour!
There is a deluxe hardshell case included, but it is not original to the guitar.
This G-30 has a very well balanced tone, with a strong voice. Tons of volume, but it carries a very sweet midrange that would compliment a sing songwriter vocal perfectly.
Finish checking is minimal as you can see.
This is a killer vintage box from a time where Gibson was making skinny necks and weaker sounding acoustics.....you get all the style with the modern punch you need.
