Matthew Morello is a very well regarded luthier from Northern California.
He accepts custom commissions so each one is built to the customers spec
This one was done with a gorgeous Flame Maple matched Neck, Flamed Maple body bindings High grade Ziricote Back and sides with matching headstock veneer and a beautiful Cedar top. The rosette is beautifully inlaid as well.
As is often the case with tap tuned Ziricote wood, we had a local luthier address some small cracks with cleats. The finish is all French Polish and applied perfectly.
After we strung it back up, it has a beautiful tone with strong bass response.
Scale is 25.5 (650 mm) Nut width is the traditional 2"
Also included is a deluxe TKL premium hardshell case
This is a wonderful custom made guitar, at a price less than half of what this luthier would collect for such a commission.
