Epiphone 1957 SJ-200 Reissue Vintage Sunburst IBGC Redline Hardshell Case

Now, Epiphone, in collaboration with Gibson Custom, is proud to introduce the 1957 SJ-200 Reissue, an Inspired by Gibson Custom recreation of the majestic 1957 Super Jumbo model, making it more accessible for today’s guitarists to enjoy. The Epiphone 1957 SJ-200 Reissue is packed with vintage-inspired details and features all solid wood construction, including a thermally aged solid Sitka spruce top that is reinforced with scalloped X-bracing, solid figured maple back and sides, multi-ply top and back binding, a two-piece flame maple neck with a walnut stringer, comfortable C profile, and a bound Indian rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl graduated Crown inlays and 20 standard frets. The neck is attached to the body with a glued-in dovetail joint.

The SJ-200 style pickguard has vintage-style graphics, and the rosewood SJ-200 open two-bar Moustache bridge has mother-of-pearl inlays. The nut, compensated saddle, and bridge pins are all made of bone. The bound, Gibson-style “open book” headstock features the Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown inlaid in mother-of-pearl. The 1957 SJ-200 Reissue also has an Inspired by Gibson Custom Double Diamond logo etched on the headstock rear. To make it even more suitable to the needs of modern musicians, it comes with an under-saddle L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC piezo pickup and active preamp with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls pre-installed, so it is stage and studio ready, straight out of the included Red Line-inspired hardshell case, which features Inspired by Gibson Custom graphics.
