Fender American Standard Stratocaster 1996 Candy Apple Red

Okay, here is a maple neck 1996 (50th Fender Anniversary) Stratocaster

As is common with Fender guitars, the poly finish will age weird and often times get cloudy or even chip off. The previous owner noticed the fretboard was getting that way, so he dutifully removed the poly finish from the fretboard and back of the neck, and now it has a smooth and fast feel. It appears that Fender brand locking keys were upgraded at some point as well.

The original pickups left something to be desired, so a set of Fender Custom Shop texas specials were added, as were the pots and so on upgraded to CTS. They work and sound killer now!

The body has some cloud spots forming on the bottom when you look in some lights, but its not a big deal, and really, theres nothing that can be done about it.
